B536DA, her hex code according to puppetfetishist, is more blue than red, placing her at "indigo" by many standards; though at the same time it is much closer to violet ala Eridan than Gamzee's own shade. BUT YOUR HEIRESS ROSE IS AMAZING SO IDEC... seriously keep doin' your thiiiing! o3Ob

(And ff6ff2, while technically a little redder than blue, is almost dead on for ERIDAN'S range of all things. God. One day, one day I will get around to playing seadweller-who-gets-intoxicated-by-ill-advised-landbound-water-intake Troll Roxy. Someday.)

Haha, I'll be honest and tell you that all the hex code comparisons confuse the fuck out of me. My reasoning for seadweller Rose (besides 'it's cool I want to do this yay') is that out of the four kids she's the highest up and THAT TOTALLY MAKES IT LEGIT, RIGHT? But seriously, thank you so much for the compliment! Troll!Rose is crazy fun to play, so I'll definitely still be floating around with her.

Also that is a beautiful take on troll!Roxy and I look forward to when you do it. It also reminds me I want to write some Condesce!Mom, but that's a different thing entirely.

Yeah it still needs working out, but basically she is an Orphaner in her universe, basically herself with a sharper twist (for instance, genuinely palecrushing on Jake and only teasing flushed out of desperation). The idea was formed before we knew Mom and Bro were dead, so I had MomRose as still the heiress like in your verse -- but older and her meddling moirail much to her chagrin. Her best auspisticie forever and maybe flushcrush shut the fuck up I'm biased okay is a slightly sharper but mostly cute blueblood Jane (with the same cute fangs and horns as her canon logo, and a beast to feed for her lusus -- normal childhood, see!).

Yeahhhhhhhhh never got far.

That sounds super cute, anon. I'm not really a fan of the alpha kids so I've sort of pushed them way way waaaaay on the backburner in my AU, but I hope that you can bang this out to your satisfaction! It sounds really neat, I'd love to bounce off it.

i've been rethinking my concept of human karkat though lately he is very difficult to species swap and keep his personality recognizable, he'd be too well adjusted as a human. he needs. something. to make him miserable and paranoid and self loathing.

Haha yeah, the troll session is a bitch to translate into human terms since stuff like AND THEN SHE BLEW HER ARM AND EYE OFF AND EVERYONE WAS COOL WITH IT don't. Really go over so well here!

But uh yes, I do feel you about having difficulty finding something that makes Karkat suitably angry. Personally I made him a first (second? the way they count this always confuses me) generation American, so he's got all the pressure of making the family proud and being the first to achieve something beyond working at a restaurant all his life delivering curry along with the insecurity of his only 'real life' friend being more of a socially maladjusted shut-in than he is. Which. I think sort of works?

And if it doesn't I just go WELL HE IS ALSO PISSED AS HELL BECAUSE HE ALMOST NEVER SLEEPS since timezones are a bitch. I will do anything to indulge myself in the fun that is Indiankat.

Transgender!karkat always seemed really appropriate to me ever since I saw someone talking about how he'd be terrified of puberty because of his eyes turning red and revealing his blood color.

yeah i have a friend who goes with that headcanon! i like that one too. as for playing it, i would, however i'm hesitant about it since i'm not trans* myself and i wouldn't like to make an accidental uninformed blunder and make an ass out of myself. nor do i want to be thought of as being exploitative or other names i've seen being tossed around at people who choose to interpret homestucks as trans*. it's a pretty sensitive subject, haha.

I feel you on the FIGURE SHIT OUT front, haha. It took my literally foreeeever to come up with stuff for the trolls' session that both made sense and I was happy with. Their backstories don't translate well onto Earth, sob.

The most fun and also most frustrating part of an AU - you can literally do whatever you want. I went troll->human backstory only because I worked out a few of them and was determined to complete the whole set, sob.

Which is. Kind of strange when you consider I didn't really do that with the human kids as trolls.

Haha yes. AUs make it perfectly acceptable to kind of wander around memes with a half-formed idea of personality and history and just make it up as you go along. It's what I'm doing with another AU. :T
